When faced with many difficulties, it's important to keep your health in mind. It is not easy to wake up some mornings, but the advice listed above will help one adjust things in order to feel more energized more often throughout the day. This will not just give you more energy, but more happiness overall!

 The Shocking Revelation of HYDRATION:

Who says you need to get your caffeine fix from a coffee house? Hydrating before drinking coffee or any type of caffeinated beverage can actually help prevent the harmful effects of dehydration. The best way to start drinking more water is to incorporate it into your routine whenever possible, especially during meals. Remember that the amount of water you need also depends on all other factors in your life including exercise, daily activities, food selections and many others. And since drinking crystal clear water isn't always appealing (at least some time), there are ways of making it fun like sweetening it with fresh-squeezed juice or citrus slices. Also, some people like to add in a spec of pink Himalayan Sea Salt which can make you absorb even more!

QUICK FITNESS:

Another tip for getting energy fast is to squeeze in a workout. There's nothing quite like being able to sweat out the stress of the day, so try adding in a light-hearted workout whenever you feel your energy lagging. Boxing is an amazing way to get your heart rate up and really release some negative emotions by taking it out on a "virtual" bag. It's also great exercise for the whole body, so don't miss out! If you're feeling ambitious or just want to keep things nice and simple, then cycling on a Peloton machine is another great choice. It's basically an indoor personal biking treadmill, but it works wonders because you can watch TV or listen to music while you cycle.

CAFFEINE:

Coffee, by itself, isn’t a great source of energy. There are, however a number of ways to get a nice rush of stimulation from natural sources that won’t leave you feeling jittery or exhausted. For example, I’ve been drinking Four Stigmatic Mushroom Coffee which is their organic blend of instant coffee made from delicious dehydrated water-infused Lion’s Mane mushrooms for just over a year now and the caffeine content has yet to make me feel tired. If you’re sensitive to caffeine there are other powerful stimulants like Match Green Tea and single-origin cacao bars and beverages.

MINDFULNESS:

So much of how we store and use energy is dependent on our daily thought patterns, stress levels and relationship with the world around us. As important as caffeine or sugar will be for getting us through a day, if we’re looking to actually boost our energy for the long-term, then concentrating on taking focus upstairs is key. The most important way to increase your energy can be found in how you’re able to process the entirety of your experiences without letting any challenges or issues take over control from you. One way to do this is by staying mindful! Mindfulness means being fully engaged in a task without thinking about other things at the same time. When we become mindful, we change our chemistry – which affects the brain’s limbic system – where chronic stress lives and can affect our bodies.

 A SUPPLEMENTAL BOOST:

Sometimes we need a little extra help. Ayurveda states that ashwagandha plants can be consumed for their energy-boosting properties, and they can lower cortisol levels as well. CoQ10 is a naturally occurring enzyme that people have been able to reduce due to physical stress, which results in them feeling less energetic. By supplementing with B12 and iron, you will feel so much better about yourself, and it will boost your energy levels immensely!

BREATH WORK:

Mindful breathing is one of the most powerful tools we have to shift our mind off its shell and back down to earth. By focusing on mindful breathing, we are able to regulate the oxygen flow in our blood stream, thus increasing awareness, focus and at times productivity - the end goal that entrepreneurs strive for. What's more is that mindful breathing can be done anywhere at anytime/anywhere, making it an even more valuable method of improvement because it can be performed during meetings or while driving for example if absolutely necessary! At ICONIC HOUR, our podcast is focused on meditation, which will help you increase your positivity during stressful moments should they arise.

 A WALK IN THE PARK:

There are many things that go into the surrounding environment that can impact how good we feel, how much energy we get to offer and our relationship to the tasks at hand. And because working from home is the norm in 2020, it is important not to let the poor quality or uninspiring state of your work or home life drag you down. Rather than sitting indoors feeling tired throughout the day, try finding ways to change up your normal routine by taking breaks during the day to change your environment. Walk outside for a brisk stroll (if weather permits) for example (or if it’s not feasible due to the temperature, take a walk inside instead). Your body will thank you! By moving vigorously, you also increase blood flow through your entire body which helps you return refreshed and rejuvenated, mentally as well as physically.
